South Waikato News - - NEWS -

Users of Lake Moananui have three new picnic tables to use thanks to the team from ABB.

Earlier this month ABB Kinleith workers took two days out off work to build three picnic tables at the lake and did some maintenance work on the footbridge at the lake.

ABB team leader Bill Cameron said the heat did not discourage his guys as they were just happy to do their part for the community. ‘‘We have been doing these community days for six years now and they are great team building exercises. It gives the guys a chance to get out off site and give back to the community,’’ said Mr Cameron.

South Waikato District Council parks and property manager Greg Shaw valued the tremendous work done by ABB.

‘‘ Council has worked with ABB on a number of projects and the teams’ support has been amazing. We are regularly receive positive feedback about the picnic tables at Lake Moananui and it would not have been possible without the help of ABB’s dedicated staff,’’ he said.

ABB’s other community projects include the Cougar Park mountain bike trails, Youth Park on Roslin St, Inman Reserve playground and other areas at Lake Moananui.
