Owners of white shepherds have produced a calendar in support of Paws.

Proceeds from the calendar, which features photos of the dog breed, will go to the Paws desexing campaign.

The calendar was created by members of a club for owners of white shepherds. Several owners and dogs were on hand to present a cheque for the $425 they had raised to delighted Paws chairwoman Meg Wilson.

Earlier this year Paws made $5000 available to subsidise the desexing of pets in the South Waikato.

The money was used within two days.

In 2011 Paws is aiming to triple the amount of money raised for its desexing campaign.

Club member Gloria Nattrass said she was ‘‘just pleased’’ the club could do something to help Paws, an animal welfare charity which works in the South Waikato.

She wished to thank all who bought the calendar.

PAWS OUT: Paws chairwoman Meg Wilson centre with New Zealand white shepherd owners club members Roger Lyons, Scott Nattrass, Gloria Nattrass and John Geayley.
