Activity sessions under way for 2011
Mark Patchett, Sport Waikato’s new KiwiSport Golf Officer, will be in Tokoroa next Tuesday, January 18 from 9.30am to 12.30pm at the Tokoroa Early Learning Centre on Grampian St. Patchett will be leading a golf session for children at the school holiday programme. For details on the programme which runs throughout the holidays contact the centre on 886 5088. South Waikato super sports Places are filling fast for this year’s super sports event with 36 teams already confirmed. Entries close Friday, February 18, so those considering entering are urged to do so promptly. There is the possibility that entries will be closed earlier if numbers become too large. Entry forms are available from Morrissey’s, the indoor pools and the Sport Waikato office in Tokoroa. Activity classes starting Sport Waikato exercise classes have all resumed for 2011. The following groups are all held at the Active & Well room in the Elim Church complex on Aotea Cres in Tokoroa.
The walking group meets each Tuesday at 9.30am for a walk around Lake Moananui.
Bums & Tums exercise to music group is held each Monday starting at 9.30am.
An evening circuit class is held each Tuesday from 6.30 to 7.30pm.
Zumba is held each Wednesday from 1 to 2pm and Thursday from 10am to 11am.
Upright & Active exercise classes are held each Friday from 10am to 11am.
The 60+ exercise group is held each Wednesday from 10am to 11am.
All Sport Waikato Active & Well classes are $2 a session excluding the walking group and the 60+ sessions which are free.
