Get ready for polocrosse

Mount up for a great week­end of ac­tion

Toko­roa will host top-level polocrosse this week­end.

The Pu­taruru-Ti­rau Polocrosse Club is host­ing the event with play on both days get­ting un­der way at 8am.

The tour­na­ment is tak­ing place at the Toko­roa Me­mo­rial Sports­grounds on Mos­sop Rd.

The event will be fea­tur­ing mem­bers of New Zealand’s world cup squad with the fi­nal tri­als for the squad be­ing played at 4.30pm on Satur­day and noon on Sun­day.

Af­ter prize giv­ing on Sun­day af­ter­noon a team of four men and four women will be se­lected to rep­re­sent New Zealand at the 2011 Polocrosse World Cup to be held in the United King­dom in July.

Sup­port­ing these games will be a fur­ther 170 play­ers rang­ing across all lev­els of play­ing abil­ity.

Ad­mis­sion to the event is free.
