The three schools assembled on June 24, to dance and sing as family and friends watched on.

Each school performed a dance and song item before combining forces for three mass performances.

With a large amount of support, family and friends had to get in fast in order to get a seat, while a large group of the spectators had to stand out in the foyer hoping to catch a glimpse of the festivities.

Kay Russell of Mangakino Area School, said: ‘‘It was fantastic to see such immense support from everyone who came along.’’ The highlight of the festival was when students got to choose members from the audience to join them in the mass dance the Hokey Tokey.
