South Waikato Camera Club image makes cut
South Waikato Camera Club members, for the third consecutive year, won the cup for the best projected image.
The winning entry was the centre of a poppy taken by Raewyn Alderton and chosen by the club in its selection of 15 images to submit, with only one from each member.
There is a trophy for the overall winner from these 15, a mixture of prints and projected images. Rotorua won with South Waikato second.
The national society participates in a Four Nations Competition with Australia, Canada and South Africa with entries being solicited from its individual members. This year, Margaret Brownsey has one selected in the New Zealand entry.
Meanwhile, the prestigious North Shore Salon of Photography is on display at its headquarters in Auckland. Roger Brownsey had one print selected by the judging panel for hanging.
This month’s assignment for the club will be the photos taken when the members visited the abandoned Endeans Mill at Waimiha and the club has also booked a return visit to Wingspan Falcon Recovery in Rotorua because of the successful pictures taken several years ago.
