Lots of activities to fill the holidays
Sport Waikato, Putaruru Netball Centre and the new KiwiSport programme will be offering a netball school holiday programme in Putaruru on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, July 18 to 20 during the coming school break at the Putaruru Netball courts.
The first session will be for years 1 to 4 students from 10am till 11am with the second for years 5 to 8 students from 11.20am till 1pm. Players will need to take playing shoes, drinks and snacks.

Involve ’11 The Involve ’ 11 festival is on throughout the district from September 9 till 25. Held during the Rugby World Cup, the festival will be promoted to all in the district and also hopefully attract some international visitors to enjoy our district.

There will be heaps of activities for students to be a part of these school holidays, which start next Monday. The South Waikato YMCA has activities organised each weekday from 9am till 4pm at the stadium on Princess Beatrix Ave in Tokoroa. A trip is planned for Friday July 29 to the Auckland Zoo. Registration is essential so phone the Y on 886 8731.
The indoor pools here in Tokoroa will have equipment and inflatables out each weekday from 12 noon and Q Masters in Bridge Street in Tokoroa will also be open for activities each day.
Buckland Street Child Care will be running a programme in Putaruru each weekday at the St. John Hall in Overdale Street from 7.45am till 5.15pm. Phone 8821250 to register your child’s participation.
Sport Waikato has activities planned for Arapuni and Tirau.
Each Monday, Wednesday and Friday of the two-week break Sport Waikato will hold sports and games at the hall from 10am till 12 noon. Activities will be held in Tirau at the hall each Tuesday and Thursday from 10am till 12 noon both weeks.
