TV comedian brings hilarity to Tokoroa
Famous for his quick wit and brutal honesty, comedian Mike King will perform at the Tokoroa Cosmopolitan Club this month.
The club will host the comedian and television personality on July 23.
Initially making his name as a stand-up comedian, playing decisively on his Maori origins, he made the move to a more lucrative mainstream audience, appearing in the New Zealand television shows Comedy Central, Game of Two Halves, Strassman, TV Bloopers and Practical Jokes, Pulp Comedy and Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner.
In 1997 he was nominated for a Billy T Award.
He is perhaps New Zealand’s best known standup comedian with numerous live and television credits.
Tickets for the show can be purchased at the Tokoroa Cosmopolitan Club or Morrissey’s.
The South Waikato News has one double pass to giveaway, simply tell us what award Mike was nominated for in 1997 along with your name and contact details to go into the draw.
You can either submit your entry on the back of an envelope or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
