TV co­me­dian brings hi­lar­ity to Toko­roa

Fa­mous for his quick wit and bru­tal hon­esty, co­me­dian Mike King will per­form at the Toko­roa Cos­mopoli­tan Club this month.

The club will host the co­me­dian and tele­vi­sion per­son­al­ity on July 23.

Ini­tially mak­ing his name as a stand-up co­me­dian, play­ing de­ci­sively on his Maori ori­gins, he made the move to a more lu­cra­tive main­stream au­di­ence, ap­pear­ing in the New Zealand tele­vi­sion shows Com­edy Cen­tral, Game of Two Halves, Strass­man, TV Bloop­ers and Prac­ti­cal Jokes, Pulp Com­edy and Guess Who’s Com­ing to Din­ner.

In 1997 he was nom­i­nated for a Billy T Award.

He is per­haps New Zealand’s best known standup co­me­dian with nu­mer­ous live and tele­vi­sion cred­its.
