ARE you a fisherman and feel there aren’t any decent recipe books that cater to you? If so Al Brown’s Go Fish may be the book for you.

I like this book for two reasons: it’s a recipe book and it’s created by Al Brown.

Go Fish blends Brown’s passion for fishing and cooking with more than 90 fish and shellfish recipes guiding readers through every step of the culinary process.

The book effortlessly moves across topics including crustaceans and shellfish illustrated with photographs by Kieran Scott.

Brown also shares his passion for fishing through personal accounts and explains how to ready freshly caught seafood and tells how to shuck a paua and fillet a skate.

One of the most exciting recipes uses fresh Kahawai with chargrilled zucchini, beetroot and black olive vinaigrette.
