Earthy sound in town

South Waikato News - - ENTERTAINMENT -

Their reggae sound is fresh, raw and earthy, and they appear in Tokoroa next month.

Maorinesian will perform at the Tokoroa Cosmopolitan Club on August 5.

Maorinesian was formed four months ago by Vincent and Ani Tate, who were also Sweet Duo. The change had always been on the cards. Group members are all whanau and hail from Kaikohe, Moerewa, Pangaru and Tainui.

The group aims to produce the original songs they are working on and are hoping to release a single or album by Christmas this year.

Maorinesian defines its sound as being reggae but admit to being able to adjust its style to fit any occasion.

South Waikato News has two double passes to give away.
