Of­ten re­garded as the ar­chi­tect of rock and roll, Lit­tle Richard recorded his hit Tutti Frutti on this day in 1955.

Richard Wayne Pen­ni­man, bet­ter known as Lit­tle Richard earned that very ti­tle for both his mu­sic and his per­son­al­ity. Tutti Frutti, which be­came a mam­moth hit was recorded in a New Or­leans record­ing stu­dio.
