Kahui stunning again
Pool A had some fantastic moments, none more so than Tokoroa’s Richard Kahui. Tokoroa’s rugby man David Foote reports
The All Blacks coasted to an easy win over Japan last Friday at Waikato Stadium.
Although it was not the Japanese number one team, they still gave the All Blacks something to think about. Their determination, tackling and running the ball on every occasion made for an entertaining game.
In the first half, although the All Blacks were scoring tries, some of the passing among the backs was not too sharp. But Tokoroa’s Richard Kahui had yet again another stunning performance.
The backline passing was eventually rectified with the help of Sonny Bill Williams.
The Canada, France encounter was a much closer contest with Canada proving to be one of the improvers in this Rugby World Cup.
A series of penalties by Canada gave France the luxury of converting easy points just before the half time whistle.
France’s form going into the clash with the All Blacks this week is hard to predict and as for the All Blacks, we await with bated breath to see what changes will be made to this week’s team.
And we are hopeful the players don’t injure themselves again at training.
