Har­ri­ers wel­come new­com­ers to join

Hash House Har­ri­ers meet this evening at 6pm, at Spirit’d Sports Bar on Leith Place. Next week’s meet­ing venue on Novem­ber 16 is Pock­ets 8 Ball Club on Com­merce St. The group runs and walks rain, hail or shine. Join this very so­cial group for some sum­mer ac­tiv­ity.

Tennis in Pu­taruru

Tennis has started in Pu­taruru each week at the tennis and net­ball courts at Glen­shea Park. Stu­dents are wel­come to at­tend the ses­sions which of­fer coach­ing and tennis play in­struc­tion each Satur­day. Con­tact Martin on 0275 827 760.

Round the Bridges

The an­nual Round the Bridges fun run will be held in Hamil­ton on Sun­day, Novem­ber 13. En­er­gize has again or­gan­ised a free bus to trans- port keen stu­dents to the event. The event is open to years 3 to 8 stu­dents and costs just $5 to en­ter. Those in­ter­ested in go­ing by bus will need to reg­is­ter by phon­ing Lee on 021 631 491 by Fri­day, Novem­ber 11. The bus will be leav­ing Toko­roa at 6.15am with pick­ups in Pu­taruru and Ti­rau on the way. Stu­dents will need to take shoes, warm cloth­ing, water and a healthy lunch.

Run, Jump, Throw

A sec­ond op­por­tu­nity to gain in­tro­duc­tory ath­let­ics coach­ing skills will be avail­able to all on Mon­day, Novem­ber 14 from 5.30pm to 7.30pm at the Pu­taruru Ath­let­ics Clu­b­rooms at Glen­shea Park.

The course is free and cov­ers the ba­sic prin­ci­ples of ath­let­ics, of­fer­ing con­fi­dence and a re­fresher on sup­port­ing young ath­letes’ de­vel­op­ment and en­joy­ment in the sport. Reg­is­tra­tion is es­sen­tial so con­tact me at the Sport Waikato of­fice on 886 9002.
