Rodders wet but happy

South Waikato News - - SPORT -

In spite of Sunday’s wet weather, Tokoroa Street Rodders members have called their Amisfield Airfield hotrod drag race a success.

The event pulled a competition lineup of 80, hailing from all over the North Island.

Tokoroa Street Rodders Club president Richard Kedian said the event was rained off around 2.30pm but not before some pretty fast cars revved up the tracks.

‘‘ I couldn’t tell you crowd numbers but all in all it was a good day,’’ Mr Kedian said.

The drags are an annual event and draw local car fiends along with visitors from the likes of Hamilton.
