Fun enduro day for kart club
Tokoroa Kart Club, at the Amisfield Raceway, will be holding a fun day this Saturday December 10, with celebrity racers getting behind the wheel to compete.
Tokoroa celebrities will be teaming up with an experienced Rotax Max driver from Kartsport Tokoroa and together will be doing an enduro race.
Hot laps, which will determine the grid draw, will be held from 1pm to 1.30pm with the Pacific Kartsport NZ ProAm Enduro Race starting at 3pm. Entry is free for spectators so head out to the track this Saturday to support the amateur racers.
Tokoroa Hash House Harriers
Hash House Harriers meet this evening, Wednesday, at 6pm, at the Trees Tavern car park on the corner of State Highway 1 and Balmoral Drive. The group runs and walks rain, hail or shine. Join this very social group for some summer activity. Tokoroa Swimming Meet Tokoroa Swimming Club hosted more than 80 swimmers from throughout the Waikato at the annual Classic 2 meet held recently.
All Tokoroa Swimming Club swimmers achieved personal best times with two qualifying for the NZ Division II Swimming Championships to be held in Dunedin in April 2012. Bryleigh Telfar qualified in 50 metre freestyle and 50 metre breaststroke and Kristin Dykstra in 50 metre backstroke. Other swimmers were just seconds off the qualifying times, so with a little more training and work, the club expects to have a large contingent heading south for the event next April.
