Celebrity racers raring to go
The Pacific Kartsport Proam Celebrity Enduro Kart Race in Tokoroa last weekend was won by Lee Fitzpatrick and professional driver Micah Wilkinson.
Organised by Kart Sport Tokoroa the celebrity show pulled in the crowd.
Kart Sport Tokoroa secretary Sheryl Mcintosh said the day was a great success with more people becoming interested in the sport.
‘‘This was the first time we have run something like this and we had a great day.
‘‘There are a few things we will improve on for next year but all in all it was a great success with a lot of interest in karting from the public.’’
Fourteen drivers took the track by storm, with some having a few karting difficulties.
Second place went to Craig Stevens and Graham Lambert, with Raymond Lincoln and Rhys Tinney coming in close at third place.

THIRD PLACE: Raymond Lincoln with his professional driver Rhys Tinney were pleased with their third place victory.
