Family-friendly festival prices

South Waikato News - - ENTERTAINMENT -

Parachute Festival organisers are offering Pay What You Can Afford family passes to any family who wants to attend the 2012 festival but cannot afford to.

The initiative will give struggling families an opportunity to attend the festival at Mystery Creek on January 27 to January 30 at a price of their choosing.

Parachute founder Mark de Jong said the recent years had been financially difficult for New Zealanders.

Officials agreed that they wanted people to experience a great, family-friendly drug- and alcohol-free event.

Pay What You Can Afford tickets are available from now until the festival.

Families who cannot afford a normal ticket will also be able to buy passes at the festival gate on festival weekend for a donation.

NEW INITIATIVE: This week’s Parachute Festival will offer special family passes.
