Play creates division of North and South islands

The next Little Theatre production will be Le Sud, a very funny New Zealand play by David Armstrong.

The plot has the North and South Islands as two separate, selfgoverning countries.

North Zealand is English speaking, and South Zealand (Le Sud) is French. Troubles arise, as do egos and ambitions when delegations from each country try to negotiate a trade agreement. The script is a clever and interesting mix of English, French, Maori and Chinese, which will be challenging for the actors and absorbing and highly entertaining for audiences.

A cast of four men and two women is required with auditions at the theatre on January 29 and 31 at 7pm. Any interested people are cordially invited to participate.
