Reading the rubbish

South Waikato News - - OPINION -

On Friday, March 2, I was shocked to see, during a recycle pick up, two workers in front, before the truck came up to the kerb, were ripping open a plastic bag and proceeding to rummage through and read each side of test print sheets.

It was in front of where I live. The worker saw me and identified me with the paper I threw out.

Luckily nothing important was on the sheets but it raised a concern. If I wrote something on paper it might not be safe from recycle workers.

My advice to anyone is, get a paper shredder.

It has left me shocked and all paper will go out in the rubbish bag in future. N Leathers
