This week’s party is at Papanui Reserve
This Friday’s Our Neighbourhood Party, which was postponed from a wet February date, will be at Papanui Reserve.
If Papanui Street is in your neighbourhood, join us for some fun and games on Friday night, March 16, from 5.30pm to 7pm and socialise with your neighbours. There will be a sausage sizzle, fun games, live music and a bouncy castle and it’s all free.
Kettle bell exercise
Have you tried the newest exercise class to hit Tokoroa?
Kettle bells are a small weights shaped similarly to a bell or kettle and can be used in a variety of ways for resistance and aerobic training.
Classes are held each Thursday starting at 6pm at the Active & Well room in the Elim Church complex in Aotea Crescent.
The class is for anyone aged 16 years and over and costs just $2 a person.
Circuit classes are also held at the Active & Well room each Tuesday from 6pm at just $2 also.

Hash House Harriers
Hash House Harriers in Tokoroa meet today at 6pm at the Old Establishment in Mannering Street. Join the walking/ running group for some fun, social and physical activity.
Rugby season starts
The rugby season starts this weekend with both local clubs enjoying home games.
Southern United will be up against Raglan with the B team playing at 1pm and the A team kicking off at 2.45pm. Both games will be played on the oval at the Tokoroa Memorial Sportsground.
Putaruru Rugby Club will face Pirongia this Saturday, with the B team starting at 1pm and the A at 2.45pm, both at Nola Block.
Head down to support the players on their home turf.
