This Fri­day’s Our Neigh­bour­hood Party, which was post­poned from a wet Fe­bru­ary date, will be at Pa­panui Re­serve.

If Pa­panui Street is in your neigh­bour­hood, join us for some fun and games on Fri­day night, March 16, from 5.30pm to 7pm and so­cialise with your neigh­bours. There will be a sausage siz­zle, fun games, live mu­sic and a bouncy cas­tle and it’s all free.

Ket­tle bell ex­er­cise

Have you tried the new­est ex­er­cise class to hit Toko­roa?

Ket­tle bells are a small weights shaped sim­i­larly to a bell or ket­tle and can be used in a va­ri­ety of ways for re­sis­tance and aer­o­bic train­ing.

Classes are held each Thurs­day start­ing at 6pm at the Ac­tive & Well room in the Elim Church com­plex in Aotea Cres­cent.

The class is for any­one aged 16 years and over and costs just $2 a per­son.

Cir­cuit classes are also held at the Ac­tive & Well room each Tues­day from 6pm at just $2 also.

Hash House Har­ri­ers

Hash House Har­ri­ers in Toko­roa meet to­day at 6pm at the Old Es­tab­lish­ment in Man­ner­ing Street. Join the walk­ing/ run­ning group for some fun, so­cial and phys­i­cal ac­tiv­ity.

Rugby sea­son starts

The rugby sea­son starts this week­end with both lo­cal clubs en­joy­ing home games.

South­ern United will be up against Raglan with the B team play­ing at 1pm and the A team kick­ing off at 2.45pm. Both games will be played on the oval at the Toko­roa Me­mo­rial Sports­ground.

Pu­taruru Rugby Club will face Piron­gia this Satur­day, with the B team start­ing at 1pm and the A at 2.45pm, both at Nola Block.

Head down to sup­port the play­ers on their home turf.
