Online plane videos are just harmless fun
This is an effort to support the people of the South Waikato flying club in Tokoroa.
I live in West Monroe, Louisiana, in the United States, and I thoroughly enjoy watching the videos produced by Mr Simpson.
They have taught me much about radiocontrolled planes and are very entertaining.
Now in a world where there’s so much wickedness anyone would have to admit that even though they might crash a couple of planes from time to time and do a bit of experimenting, what they do is a pretty harmless bit of fun.
I have never seen a video where anyone’s life seemed to be in danger and never, to my knowledge, have they ever condoned any hazardous behaviour.
The two programmes recorded at the South Waikato Model Aero Club are important to the radio-control modellers’ community and are a way to share ideas, laugh and enjoy ourselves. Life is a very serious business with the burden of work and family, and just getting by in this world and I very much appreciate the people of your community allowing Mr Simpson to help radiocontrol modellers throughout the world have a little harmless fun.

Bruce, Ron, Barry, the flyin’ Doc and the other members of the SWMAC provide a fun view of the hobby of RC modelling and serve as unofficial but influential ambassadors of New Zealand in general and the Tokoroa area in particular.
I have found that when hobbies become too regulated and regimented the enjoyment quickly leaves.
The SWMAC along with Bruce’s RC Model Reviews and Xjet channels on YouTube are prime examples of what RC modelling is all about – fun and experimentation.
Bruce ranks up there with the FliteTest and Experimental Airlines channels for interesting and fun content. L Barrick America Waikato and New Zealand as a tourist destination into the international arena.
It would be a dream come true for me to live in Tokoroa and fly daily at the SWMAC.
