Audiences likely to enjoy Hot Water

South Waikato News - - ENTERTAINMENT -

Putaruru Theatre Players upcoming production is well into rehearsals.

The full- length play Hot Water by prolific New Zealander author Roger Hall is a ‘‘ comedy farce’’ with confusion and mayhem promised.

Set in the 1980s in a Taupo bach during the Christmas holidays, the visitors arrive, welcome and unwelcome: Relatives, neighbours, a Rotary student from the United States and granny from the United Kingdom.

One character’s hunting ambitions, combined with offstage deer poachers, add mayhem to confusion and this is no place for a honeymoon couple.

The play with a cast of eight is directed by Tokoroa’s Gary Robinson whose work is wellknown to Putaruru theatre audiences.

Set to open in early August it is bound to bring relief from the winter blues.

Watch for ticket sales.
