South Waikato News - - OPINION -

Kia-ora, (hi) my name is Mike Gomez. I am an airplane model-maker; I’ve been flying remote control airplanes and helicopters from an early age and doing Polynesian music and dance too. I would like to inform you that I am one of the most enthusiastic and fan of all of you, Maori culture and SWMAC, and I want you to know that from this channel, it is the way that I feel very close to New Zealand and to those people that makes, have or even think like me, just because of the same hobby.

This is an international matter and all the people who do this kind of job or hobby, should be in contact with others to exchange ideas and improve our aerodynamic and electronics experience.

I know that to many people this hobby is something like a simple game or that the aircraft are toys but this is not true, This hobby becomes to be educational, cultural and for an extraordinary physical and mental development, not only for us as adults but also for all of our sons.

Haere mai (welcome) Mr Bruce, and haere mai to your friends of SWMAC and to all the pilots and airplane model makers that makes this wonderful hobby. M Gomez Lopez
