Library to get major upgrade

South Waikato News - - NEWS -

A part of Tirau Primary School will be revamped this year, with plans in motion to upgrade the school’s library.

Once the upgrades have been carried out, the current library will be turned into a multipurpose unit. The project is estimated to cost about $160,000.

Tirau Primary School principal Hamish Fenemor said the upgrade will meet the needs of the school’s increasing roll.

‘‘The fact is that there has been growth in the school roll.

‘‘We want to have a space where we can fit our whole school,’’ he said.

Enhancements will include a digital editing suite, an extended deck off the side and double the floor space. The building process is expected to take six to eight weeks.
