Club turns 25

Putaruru 50 Plus marked its 25th birthday last week with 73 members attending a celebratory lunch at the Putaruru District Services Memorial Club.

President Roy McCurran opened the proceedings speaking about the club’s first recorded minutes.

Both Mr McCurran and secretary Dora Davies were on hand to cut the birthday cake.

Today the group has 90 members with ages ranging from 50 to 94 from Tirau, Putaruru, Lichfield, Tokoroa and Arapuni.
