Arrest made in robbery inquiry
A 22-year-old local man has been arrested and charged over a pair of aggravated robberies.
Tokoroa Police arrested the man believed to be responsible for the robberies at Lomond Dairy on July 29 and Kelso Superette on August 12.
The arrest came after extensive inquiries and search warrants executed in Tokoroa over the past week.
Detective Rick Rudolph said that although an arrest has been made there are still inquiries to be completed to identify the second offender involved in the Lomond Dairy robbery, and they would like to hear from anyone who maybe able to assist police.
The male is currently in custody and is due to reappear in the Tokoroa District Court in September.
