Sort out your act

South Waikato News - - OPINION -

It would appear that we, the ratepayers, elected some councillors who still need instruction on processes, but we have paid council staff who have been in their position for a number of years who still demonstrate their inability to understand basic business decisions.

These people are employed for knowledge and skill, and also paid highly for this. In the last couple of weeks all we have heard is how they have cost ratepayers considerable unplanned expense.

There needs to be accountability for their poor performance, maybe some form of penalties, maybe even the sack for the bad performers?

How can you set a price for a job when you don’t know the full price of the job. This is just another stuff-up of your paid representatives. Sort your act out and start acting like professional staff whom we expect to have to undertake our bidding.
