Summer sport on the way
It is very trying weather for everyone, especially those wanting to take advantage of our wonderful outdoors – roll on summer! Putaruru Fun Run Sport Waikato and Knockout Fitness Centre fun run/walk is being held this Saturday at 9am.
The run/walk will start at the Putaruru Hotel and head down Arapuni St. This event is raising funds for the Spinal Cord Society, Type 1 Diabetes, Putaruru Tennis and St John’s Putaruru. Entry is $ 10 for adults and a gold coin for students. Contact Martin on 027 582 7760. Knockout Fitness Centre From October 1 the Knockout Fitness Centre will offer classes on Monday and Wednesday nights from the Putaruru Sports Stadium; 5.15 till 5.45pm Kid Zone, 6 till 7pm adults. Costs are $10 each month for kids, $20 each month for adults and there are family rates. Contact Martin on 027 582 7760.
Putaruru Marae Sports day
On Saturday, September 22, Putaruru will host local maraes in a fun- filled day of sport including netball ( Glenshea Park) and ki-o-rahi and rugby (Putaruru Rugby Club). Games kick off from 10am (netball). There will be a canteen operat- ing at the rugby club and stalls available.
