Sum­mer sport on the way

It is very try­ing weather for ev­ery­one, es­pe­cially those want­ing to take ad­van­tage of our won­der­ful out­doors – roll on sum­mer! Pu­taruru Fun Run Sport Waikato and Knock­out Fit­ness Cen­tre fun run/walk is be­ing held this Satur­day at 9am.

The run/walk will start at the Pu­taruru Ho­tel and head down Ara­puni St. This event is rais­ing funds for the Spinal Cord So­ci­ety, Type 1 Di­a­betes, Pu­taruru Tennis and St John’s Pu­taruru. En­try is $ 10 for adults and a gold coin for students. Contact Martin on 027 582 7760. Knock­out Fit­ness Cen­tre From Oc­to­ber 1 the Knock­out Fit­ness Cen­tre will of­fer classes on Mon­day and Wed­nes­day nights from the Pu­taruru Sports Sta­dium; 5.15 till 5.45pm Kid Zone, 6 till 7pm adults. Costs are $10 each month for kids, $20 each month for adults and there are fam­ily rates. Contact Martin on 027 582 7760.

Pu­taruru Marae Sports day

On Satur­day, Septem­ber 22, Pu­taruru will host lo­cal maraes in a fun- filled day of sport in­clud­ing net­ball ( Glen­shea Park) and ki-o-rahi and rugby (Pu­taruru Rugby Club). Games kick off from 10am (net­ball). There will be a can­teen op­erat- ing at the rugby club and stalls avail­able.
