Thanks for new cen­tre

The new Sports and Events Cen­tre is com­plete.

Mayor Neil Sin­clair is pic­tured here show­cas­ing the cen­tre with man­ager Heather Gaby.

Mr Sin­clair would like to thank all those that had a hand in cre­at­ing the cen­tre which in­cludes:

North­power lo­ca­tion;

Alan Forbes Trans­port – pavilion de­mo­li­tion, site cleanup;

RJ Lin­coln Trans­port – trans­ported rub­bish;

Toko­roa Vol­un­teer Fire Bri­gade – burnt down the pavilion;

Cen­tral Equip­ment Movers – loader trans­porta­tion;

Alan Wil­son Builders – trade work;

Garin Knight – chainsawing;

Jon Hughes and Al­bie

ca­ble Kut­tle – floor­ing re­moval;

South Waikato Sports & Leisure Board – li­ai­son, project man­age­ment;

Down­ers – carpark con­struc­tion;

Toko­roa Host Lions – re­tain­ing walls for seat­ing;

Waratah – plant­ing/land­scap­ing.

ONE ON ONE: South Waikato Mayor Neil Sin­clair has a one-on one-game of bas­ket­ball on the cen­tre’s court with man­ager Heather Gaby.

FA­CIL­I­TIES SHOW­CASED: Pro­grammes co-or­di­na­tor Amanda White helped to show off some of the Sports and Events Cen­tre’s fa­cil­i­ties last week. There is no longer a need for a jug or zip for hot wa­ter, this tap does it all.
