Students setting example for farms
Living up to its reputation as an enviro school, Kuranui School carried out a planting day Students planted 700 native trees, surpassing their 2011 effort when 600 shrubs were planted on the banks of the Waiomou River which flows along the boundary of their school. Principal Jenny Clark said the enthusiasm of the pupils was inspiring their farming families to put similar stream protection work into practice on their farms.
