The Putaruru- based Tatou Tatou Touch Club will hold it’s 26th Annual Mixed Touch Tournament on Saturday, November 24, at the Nola Block in Putaruru.

In recent years between 44 and 50 teams have entered the Tournament from throughout the North Island, making the event one of the largest mixed tournaments in New Zealand.

This year’s tournament will be run on a totally new format incorporating three age groups in each team: Under 15, 15-45, 45 plus, with a male and female from each age group on the field at all times.

This format will promote a more family orientated tournament while providing a competitive edge.

In recent years a strong visiting contingent from Bay of Plenty and Waikato, along with our local contenders Tato Tatou and Mezcars, ensured an excit- ing edge to the competition.

This years tournament and the new format will offer players of all ages, sizes and fitness an interesting challenge.

Over $5000 worth of prizes including cash are up for grabs with the tournament organisers making a big effort to ensure that even the most social of teams are well catered for.

The prizegiving function will be held at the Putaruru Rugby Club.
