DEAR CREEK CANYON

Sera Cahoone (Rhythmethod) Sera Cahoone is, as the Hawaiians might say, kahuna, an expert.

It’s evident not just in its dusky and intimate revelations of the vulnerability of being in love but not sure whether you are loved in return – Naked – but also in its musical fusion of country with an indie flavour.

Cahoone, a Columbine graduate, can hoedown with the best of them on Nervous Wreck.

She can draw uncomfortable familiar character sketches of people experiences that have left us feel- ing insecure – One To Blame, lonely – Every Little Word, and even desperate – Deer Creek Canyon.

The fact she has toured with or opened for Lucinda Williams, Jay Farrar, Mary Gauthier, Band of Horses, Son Volt should be sign enough that she has something special.
