Rowles bares his soul in book
early relationship, together with the pull of the land of opportunity – the United States – that may have been the catalyst to ending his career in Britain, a situation he recounts with significant regret.
Probably the most endearing part of the singer’s story is his love for his two young sons Dane and Blake, who came along late in his life.
He writes openly and fondly about the boys’ mother, model and back- up singer Deborah-Leigh Ashton, a woman 20 years his junior.
He refers to her as the fourth love of his life, and she appears to be the most dignified.
He said the couple were no longer romantically involved but they worked together as parents for the sake of their sons.
