The White Ribbon Campaign bikers rode into Tokoroa recently.

The White Ribbon campaign is about giving the victims of violence a voice and encouraging people to advocate against violence towards women all year round.

The White Ribbon Ride was launched in Rotorua and will see men on bikes drive across the country asking one important question: ‘‘Are you man enough to stop violence towards women?’’

The bikers then rode into Tokoroa last weekend.

This year there were more than 40 bikes being hosted, the event is getting bigger and bigger each year and it was a great sight seeing the riders arrive in a group.

The ride, which kicked off at the lakefront, is one of the White Ribbon Awareness Month’s biggest initiatives to spread the antidomestic violence message right across New Zealand.

This campaign is an opportunity to shed some light on an often taboo subject.

It is about our communities taking a collective stand against abuse towards women.
