Get awards entries in early
People who enter the New Zealand Dairy Industry Awards early, before December 1, will go in the draw to win one of three farm bikes worth about $4000 each.
Organiser Chris Keeping said one bike winner would be drawn from early entrants in each of the contest’s three categories – sharemilker/equity farmer, farm manager and dairy trainee.
More than 80 people had entered in the first week since entries opened, but organisers wanted more.
The final date for entries is December 20. The awards attract farmers from throughout New Zealand.
The awards were designed to ‘‘showcase and support passionate farmers of the future’’.
Regional competitions would be held early next year, followed by a national final in Wellington in May.
