South Waikato News editor As editor of your paper I have been able to celebrate your successes and commiserate our losses.

I would like to personally thank you, our community, for sharing your stories with us.

As the year comes to an end, well hopefully not on Friday according to the Mayan Calendar, it gives me great strength to know our community is engaged and cares about our little piece of paradise, the heart of the Waikato.

There are many aspects of the job I love, one of the things I love is being stopped on the street and hearing your voices telling me what you think this community needs and how you would like to see it in the future.

It’s the people that make our community the unique place it is, and it’s your voice that is of the utmost importance, use it.

Be the change you would like to see in the South Waikato.

From our team here at the South Waikato News, we wish you all a very merry Christmas and we will see you in the new year.
