Mcdon­ald takes cup

The fi­nal round of the Pu­taruru Golf Club’s sum­mer cup was played on Satur­day.

The men’s cup was won by Wayne McDon­ald.

Louise Wal­lace picked up the ladies’ cup with 80 points, sec­ond be­hind McDon­ald on 82 points were Mau­rice Tricker and Kings­ley Shanly.

In the days scram­ble the ladies’ di­vi­sion was taken out by Cushla Ar­buckle with 39 points.

The days scram­ble re­sults were, in Di­vi­sion one win­ner (by count back) Tali Mu­lafia 40 points, run­ner up Steven Gar­land, third equal also on 40 points were Terry Garn­ert and Joe Mcgee, fifth Kings­ley Shanly 39 points, sixth Ian Worth 38 points sev­enth equal David Col­man and John Mul­hul­land 37 points, and ninth Phillip Kens­ing­ton 36 points.

Di­vi­sion two was won (by count back) by Brett Worth 41 points, run­ner up was Ste­wart Kens­ing­ton, third Al­lan McCarthy 40, fourth Gary Ur­ban 38, fifth Mark Hopa 37, sixth Ron­ald Tay­lor 36, and sev­enth Roger Cloth­ier 35.

Five golfers scored six twos, Wayner Mud­ford with twos on the eighth and 13th made two of them. Do­minic Mor­ris, Al­lan McCarthy, Gary Ur­ban and Don Ri­ley also scored twos.
