20-code sport­ing chal­lenge

South Waikato Su­per­sports 2013 is fast fill­ing up with 32 con­firmed en­tries and max­i­mum of 50 teams.

This unique mul­ti­sports event starts on Fe­bru­ary 22 and runs through the week­end. Teams of two com­pete over 20 dif­fer­ent sport­ing dis­ci­plines, start­ing on the Fri­day evening with track and field.

On Satur­day con­tes­tants will tackle a 200 me­tre swim at the in­door pools, then an 800m speed skate at the Kart Club be­fore a run- bike- run duathlon at the Me­mo­rial Sports Ground. The af­ter­noon will have them clay bird shoot­ing and climb­ing Col­sons Hill be­fore mov­ing on to the Toko­roa Club for bowls, darts and a quick sprint on the row­ing ma­chine.

On Sun­day teams do a tar­get golf shootout, archery, ob­sta­cle course, ball sports and a two-man saw at the ax­e­man’s club. An 8km bike in Cougar Park ends the event.
