20-code sporting challenge
South Waikato Supersports 2013 is fast filling up with 32 confirmed entries and maximum of 50 teams.
This unique multisports event starts on February 22 and runs through the weekend. Teams of two compete over 20 different sporting disciplines, starting on the Friday evening with track and field.
On Saturday contestants will tackle a 200 metre swim at the indoor pools, then an 800m speed skate at the Kart Club before a run- bike- run duathlon at the Memorial Sports Ground. The afternoon will have them clay bird shooting and climbing Colsons Hill before moving on to the Tokoroa Club for bowls, darts and a quick sprint on the rowing machine.
On Sunday teams do a target golf shootout, archery, obstacle course, ball sports and a two-man saw at the axeman’s club. An 8km bike in Cougar Park ends the event.
