Fo­rum to dis­cuss sports

All our chil­dren in the area are back at school now so please be aware of chil­dren walking and bik­ing to and from school.

Lo­cal Sport Re­view Fo­rum: Sport Waikato is hold­ing a fo­rum for lo­cal sports lead­ers in Toko­roa. It is keen to get in­put from the com­mu­nity about what works well in sport, what stops it be­ing bet­ter, what is chang­ing, what re­sponse is be­ing made to change and what needs to hap­pen in the fu­ture.

Club and school per­son­nel, coaches, ad­min­is­tra­tors, sport co­or­di­na­tors, sec­ondary school stu­dents, teach­ers, prin­ci­pals and play­ers are all on the list of peo­ple in­vited. How­ever, other peo­ple are wel­come to at­tend and con­trib­ute.

The fo­rum is de­signed to un­cover the needs of sport­ing or­gan­i­sa­tions and to pri­ori­tise what should be done to as­sist sport in the fu­ture.

The fo­rum will be held at The South Waikato Sports and Event Cen­tre on Wed­nes­day, Fe­bru­ary 27, from 5.30 till 7.00 pm.

Toko­roa Hash House Har­ri­ers: This week the run is from the Cos­mopoli­tan Club at 6pm Wed­nes­day night. There is a good walk­ers’ trail; dogs on a leash are wel­come to come for ex­er­cise too!
