Bain ahead of field for Brad­shaw Cup con­test

With a per­sonal best round, (a gross round of 79, of a 17 hand­i­cap a net of 62) Ted Bain qual­i­fied first in the Brad­shaw Cup, to be played at the Pu­taruru Golf Club over the coming weeks.

As well as qual­i­fy­ing first in the Brad­shaw his score places him three shots ahead in Radd Cup sta­ble­ford com­pe­ti­tion.

The best net scores on the day were, win­ner – Ted Bain net 62, 2nd on 65 were Wayne McDon­ald, Davis Hoyte and Phillip Bell, 5th with 67 nets were Ron­nie Tay­lor and Hocky Howard, 7th equal were Eric Hill, Myke Flavell and Dun­can Gal­lagher. Tali Mu­lafia and David Hoyte scored twos. The Ladies di­vi­sion with a net 70 was won by Margie Robin­son

Last Thurs­day the club hosted the 2nd round of the sum­mer twi­light se­ries – the win­ner of the non golfer sec­tion was Grant Bown­hill, 2nd Ted Mul­ford, 3rd Jeff Mos­song. In the golfers sec­tion the win­ner was Lor­raine Smith, 2nd Wal­ter Mor­gan, 3rd po­si­tion was taken out by Rob­bie Wi.
