Protect our kids

South Waikato News - - OPINION -

Booze and Kids are a bad mix, what are they thinking, allowing ANOTHER liquor store near where so many of our children are; the pools, youth park and Punanga.

We already have too many liquor shops in Tokoroa and families here are already struggling financially; another liquor shop is not the way to go!

Is this OK for how the rest of New Zealand see’s the South Waikato/ Tokoroa?

We need to teach our children to drink in moderation, and to have another liquor store in Tokoroa is not the answer we need to look for! SWDC surely you guys should be against another liquor shop in town, we have to many already! Not smiling at all.

Come and see what we live with any night of the week, but especially weekends with drinking and the extra noise and vandalism, and maybe you’ll understand why we are so against another liquor store. Isn’t SWDC promoting a safer community? Then more access to liquor is not the way to go, especially after the police report in this week’s SWN with alcohol and alcohol related incidents high. R Drower Tokoroa
