Puke­tu­rua rain dancers take credit for wet stuff

South Waikato res­i­dents can thank the Puke­tu­rua Hall com­mit­tee for the rain­fall ear­lier this week.

Puke­tu­rua Hall com­mit­tee mem­bers Liz Hawkins and Ju­dith Ben­nett or­gan­ised the rain dance which has paid off.

Close to 50 res­i­dents joined in the fes­tiv­i­ties last week in des­per­a­tion for rain.

The hall rocked to the mu­sic of Axis Duo and pa­trons were sup­plied sup­per – all in the in­ter­est of boost­ing mo­rale in time of drought and to in­spire rain.
