On Tues­day, March 12, Pu­taruru Golf club nine-hole Ladies mem­ber Raewyn Habergham set what was by the end of the week an un­beat­able stan­dard when she won, with what equates to an 18-hole 56 net, the Ladies nine-hole di­vi­sion with a 26 net. Other events played on the day where LGU, MM and Putting But­ton, and the 4th Rd of Eclec­tic.

Di­vi­sion win­ners where: Sil­ver, Fern Tay­lor 67 net. Bronze 1 Jenny Smith 64. Bronze 2 Neroli Fisher 60. Florence Jel­lard won the Di­vi­sion 1 Putting with 27 putts. 2nd Di­vi­sion win­ner, Lor­raine Smith had 31 putts. Rachel Young on the 8th made the one and two of the day.

On Thurs­day, in the Vets Scram­ble, five play­ers scored 40 Sta­ble­ford points or bet­ter. The win­ner with 45 points was Barry Bur­well; 2nd equal; Ross Jel­lard and John Lamb; 4th Ali­son Ri­ley; 5th Mau­rice Tricker. Thurs­day Twi­light was also played,but no re­sults are avail­able

In Satur­day Men’s golf, af­ter two rounds in the Wal­ford Cup, Joe Mcgee with a com­bined net score of 135 leads by one, Hooky Howard on 136 is run­ning sec­ond, Butch Hamil­ton on 138 is 3rd. The fi­nal of the Brad­shaw cup was played, in a tight match Phillip Bell won against Wayne McDon­ald. The day’s top net score of 65 was scored by Bob O’Flath­ery, from Whit­ford Park; 2nd with 66 was Gary Ur­ban; 3rd equal on 67 where Hocky Howard, and John Mul­hol­land; 5th equal on 68 were new mem­ber Bren­don Welch, Bren­don Edgar, David Cole­man and Joe Mcgee, who alone with Nathan Edgar and Hooky Howard where the three player on the day who scored twos.
