Mak­ing SPCA life eas­ier

South Waikato SPCA have two new ad­di­tions to its team mak­ing them more mo­bile.

The shel­ter re­cently re­ceived a Toy­ota Hy­brid for one year as part of Toy­ota’s 25 years cel­e­bra­tion and a Toy­ota van from First Sov­er­eign Trust af­ter the grant staff ap­plied for was ap­proved.

Shel­ter man­ager and in­spec­tor Lorna Hutchin­son said the ve­hi­cles are wel­come ad­di­tions.

‘‘For the SPCA here to re­ceive this is great,’’ she said in re­sponse to re­ceiv­ing the Toy­ota van.

‘‘You know, it could have gone to an­other shel­ter, a shel­ter in the city but we got it which is really great for us.’’

Mrs Hutchin­son re­ceived the van, which was ap­plied for at the be­gin­ning of Jan­uary, at the be­gin­ning of the month while the hy­brid was re­ceived a week ago.
