Wearable arts spectacular
Glenshea Kindergarten students put on an amazing show for friends and family last week at their annual Wearable Arts Extravaganza showcase.
Held at a sold-out Putaruru Plaza the 14 children aged from two to four years of age showcased their top- of- theline designer gear and their dancing and singing prowess.
Head teacher Melanie Reid said the show, in its fifth year, has always been popu- lar.
‘‘The children always put so much effort into creating their wearable arts pieces and this year we added three more categories which include an action song, singing and a dance number.
‘‘They have been practicing for three weeks straight.’’
All proceeds go toward resources for the children at the kindergarten.
