Ca­reer choice horde de­scends for expo

Ca­reer op­tions galore will be laid be­fore South Waikato young­sters at the Start Ca­reers Expo.

The three-day expo from June 20 to 22 in­volves rep­re­sen­ta­tives from tech­ni­cal in­sti­tutes, uni­ver­si­ties, in­dus­try sec­tors, the arts, con­struc­tion and in­fra­struc­ture, so­cial and com­mu­nity ser­vice, de­fence forces, man­u­fac­tur­ing and tech­nol­ogy, trades, Raukawa, Kin­leith Mill, agri­cul­ture, forestry, dairy, ca­reers ad­vis­ers and Gate­way.

En­try to the expo at the South Waikato Sports and Events Cen­tre is free.

Free work­shops and in­spi­ra­tional speak­ers are also on the menu.

Among the speak­ers will be Fon­terra’s Julio Ro­driguez and Raukawa Char­i­ta­ble Trust’s Jade Ho­haia.

At­ten­dees have the op­por­tu­nity to test a forestry sim­u­la­tor and a log hauler sim­u­la­tor.
