Unique site awarded
Putaruru Qubik TMC received the award for Best Small Agribusiness Outdoor Site at Fieldays recently.
Qubik TMC Putaruru Branch Manager Mark Craig was flattered by the award.
‘‘We were focused on ensuring our site was best design to suit our clients’ needs,’’ Mr Craig said.
‘‘ Receiving the award was a great way to end a busy and successful week at the Fieldays’’.
It was the first time the local business had their own site at the national farming event.
‘‘Having our own site at the Fieldays has been something that the company has been talking about and working towards for a number of years, and this year the timing was right,’’ Mr Craig said.
Late last year Qubik became one of only 12 effluent accredited organisations in New Zealand and Mr Craig said this played its part ensuring the company had its own presence at the Fieldays.
‘‘Effluent is a very popular topic within the farming industry at the moment, and it is important that our expertise in the industry was known, so this became the focus behind our site.’’
The planning and organisation for the day went relatively smoothly.
‘‘We knew early on the design and layout for our site, and also what equipment we wanted to display.
‘‘It was important for us to have an operating site, to clearly demonstrate how the equipment worked and what benefits it had to the farmer.’’ Mr Craig said.
