The semifinal matches of the Presidents trophy featured: John Barr and Ted Ward vs Andrew and Adam Sadler. Barr/ Ward saw their matches go onto extra holes (on one occasion to the 21st) but were unable to continue their winning form, after being 5 down after 9 winning the 10th to close the gap to 4, young Saddler’s recovery par 4 on the 11th saw the lead back to 5, 12 was halved, Sadlers’ won 13. Not surrendering though Barr/Ward won 14, but loss 15 and the match.

This puts Andrew and Adam Sadler in the final this Friday vs Matthew Rhodes and Steven Thorby who in a very close match won through over Peter Hills and Tali Mulifia.

On the line: Strathmore School’s Rippa rugby teamplays today.
