Hinuera A and B win

South Waikato News - - NEWS -

In ideal conditions for playing rugby, Southern United hosted the Hinuera Senior A and B teams. Hinuera As showed why they are top of the table and why they look to be pushing for a spot back in the Premier Division next year, beating Southern 35- 10. The score could have been a lot higher to Hinuera but for some great defence from Southern. Southern’s only points came from two tries to Player of the Day, Sam Pahewa, who scored a try in each half.

Southern Senior Bs scraped 23- 20, which now puts them in first place of their division. Player of the Day was Warwick Taylor.

Cavaliers with only 15 players travelled to Whatawhata. The first half was all Whatawhata but the Cavaliers eventually lost 33-20. Retox player of the day was Taru Tunupopo.
