Aquacise to be trialled down at the pool
We are having a three-week trial starting this Wednesday at 11.30am at the Putaruru Pools to gauge the interest of aquacise.
If you would like to come along please join us, we would love to see you – all welcome! Cost will be pool entry and maybe a small fee.
Any questions call Gilly on 027 471 5968.
We had our first walk in Putaruru last week, and Tirau this week – thank you to those people who joined the walk.
Next week on December 10, I am unable to make it but if anyone is interested in having a walk meet at the Water Park in Putaruru at 9.30am.
Get active – every chance to move is an opportunity not an inconvenience!
Over the holiday season you may have more time on your hands so make exercise and movement a priority. Schedule extra training sessions, walk at the beach, walk more and drive less and take every opportunity to move your body.
Always have a pair of sneakers or walking shoes with you so you can take advantage of any opportunities to be active
Include some planned exercise each day – try to maintain those good exercise habits you have developed throughout the year.
Encourage physical activity, take a frisbee or bat and ball with you on picnics.
Have a go at new activities – roller blading/ frisbee/ wind surfing/ bike riding/ swing ball/hacky sack.
Play with your children. They enjoying when you watch their games but they love when you play with them.
If you are on vacation, walking or cycling is the best way to become familiar with your holiday location.
It is important to remember that little bits of exercise are better than nothing.
